ABOUT US
|
We are situated on 11 1/2 acres containing orchards, pastures, two large ponds, a meandering creek, many scattered maple, cedar, willow and cottonwood trees, and over five acres of woods. Sue is still in the process of building the new barn and it has come a long ways in the last few years. We now have a wonderful "HUGE" kitchen with a walk-in cooler that Sue hand built. We have about half the runs put in with the remainder to be finished up this year. Sue has also built a very safe and comfortable sick room, completely screened in to protect everyone from fly strike. Now that we have all the Giant Flemish that were rescued this year from a meat farm out of the clinic room and into rabbit runs, Sue now can start on her "dream clinic" that she has always wanted. Right now we are home to about 100 rabbits , with an additional 14 rabbits in foster care. Rabbit Haven also gives shelter and care to a chinchilla, two pigeons and three doves and our cat called "Bob" who was suppose to be our mouser but is more interested in laying in the sun. Our goal is that every
animal at Rabbit Haven is well loved and cared for. This requires immense amounts of time and money. If you would like to make a tax-deductible donation,
